Sarah and Mark / Wedding Photography at The Chilston Park Hotel in Kent

Kent Wedding Galleries

Sarah and Mark’s wedding was my first wedding of 2012 and really I couldn’t have hoped for a more fantastic couple to work with. It was a cold winter’s day in February at the Chilston Park Hotel, but the weather doesn’t matter at all, it’s the people that make a wedding day. Mix together fantastic family and friends, an incredibly moving speech from Mark and finish with a couple who so obviously love one another and this is what you get. Congratulations guys, I hope you like them.

It's a funny thing but it really doesn't matter how many weddings I photograph I always feel incredibly nervous whilst waiting to hear what the couple think of their wedding photos, it's always been that way. My wife Claire recognizes it in me every time. I kind of go a bit quiet, keep checking my e-mails every 5 minutes, "stop worrying, it'll be fine, they'll love them" she says to me, but until I hear it from the couple themselves I really can't help myself. Having spoke to other wedding photographers it's a trait I think many of us share and to a degree it's a good thing, it stops me being complacent, it drives me to push myself on and giv ...

The Marine Hotel in Whitstable Wedding Photography / Tracy and Matt
Oh Whitstable beach, how I love thee : ) I've shot a lot of weddings in Whitstable, some absolute crackers! When the sun is shining and the winds are calm there are few better places to take photos. It's also a place I visit a lot with Claire and the kids, let them loose on the beach and sit down with some fish and chips whilst the kids wear themselves out, bliss. So I totally understood when Tracy and Matt got in touch and told me how important Whitstable had been in their relationship. The incredible wedding cake pretty much sums it up I think : ) "Hi Paul, We received the photos safely and we are delighted with them. Thank you so, so muc ...

Kew Gardens Wedding Photography
Kew Gardens Wedding Photography / Alex and Shaun
There are a few wedding venues that as a wedding photographer you dream of shooting at, Kew Garden's was definitely one of those for me so when Alex and Shaun contacted me last year about photographing their wedding I jumped at the opportunity. I was keeping everything crossed that the weather would be kind to us and we could make the most of Kew's stunning gardens but the weather gods had other ideas and a classically British summer day of grey cloud and rain greeted me when I opened the curtains in the morning. A bit of drizzle couldn't dampen the fun though and we had a great day and to be honest if the weather is going to keep you indoors ...
