Pippa and Gary / Kent Wedding Photographer at The George Vaults

Kent Wedding Galleries

Pippa and Gary’s wedding was held just before halloween and The George Vaults in Rochester provided the perfect venue for their halloween themed wedding. I have to admit, when Pippa told me their wedding would be held in a 14th century vault I was pretty excited. As a photographer I love shooting in beautiful natural light but this would be a whole new challenge and I really wasn’t disappointed. Pippa e-mailed me after she had seen her photos, e-mails like this one are really the greatest thing about what I do.

“Hi Paul,
Well,…wow. I don’t know what to say. From opening our perfectly wrapped parcel with anticipation, to tears, joy and laughter through the sideshow, we are simply over the moon. It was like reliving the day and all the feelings came flooding back. What you have done is just wonderful and seeing all of our friends, family, The Vaults and Rochester itself in such beautiful shots is really very special. The detail shots will trigger memories for years to come.
So…a ridiculously big and very heartfelt thank you
Pippa”

Such beautiful, soulful images! I like how the transition from the stony cave to the portraits outdoor isn't jarring, just a nice flow. The portraits against the wall dripping with ivy are definite favorites.

"When Nadia and her sister were little, their mum use to have them waiting for me by the front door. Every day when I came home from work, they would jump into my arms as I walked in, it was always the favourite part of my day" I could see it as he was speaking, I could see that in his minds eye he was back there, walking through the door to his children. Because you know what it can be hard for dad's sometimes, it can be hard for us to say what we feel. Here we are, trying to be strong, trying to keep things level for our children and our families in a world that seems to want to turn us all upside down, when inside our hearts are exploding ...

Wedding couple walking across Camber Sands at The Gallivant
The Gallivant Wedding / Chris and Gemma
I'm not sure there can be many better settings for a wedding day than Camber Sands on a glorious sunny day can there? The Gallivant Hotel in Rye has this really cool kind of beach shack vibe going on which I really liked and I have to say ,when the weather is on your side, this place is just a stunning choice for a wedding. Anyone who's grown up in Kent or Sussex has to have visited Camber Sands right?, I can remember vividly my mum and dad taking me and my brother there when we were kids, about 8 or 9 I think, and the two of us wandering off and getting lost in the sand dunes. We were actually found by a lifeguard playing in the sand as m ...

Kelly and Nathan / Wedding Photography at the East Anglian Railway Museum
There are certain couples that fit together, that are just right for each other. You see them with one another, you watch how they are with each other and you just think to yourself, yep, these two should be together. That's how it is when you are around Kelly and Nathan. I have been friends with Nathan since we were kids and when he first introduced us all to Kelly I think we all knew he had met the right girl for him. Kelly, also known as Shooting Suzie , is a great photographer herself. She was the person who first gave me the chance to do this fantastic job when she let me shoot a few weddings with her what seems like a lifetime ago. S ...
