Maria and John / Wedding Photography at The Lobster Shack in Whitstable

Kent Wedding Galleries

Maria and John’s wedding was a day full of colour. From the amazing bridesmaids dresses to the bunting John’s mum spent hours making, or the beach hut wedding card holder Maria’s dad built for her, every part of the day was simply beautiful and even though the British weather and some seriously strong gale force winds played havoc with some of the girls hairdo’s it really was a fantastic day. I wrote a little bit about Maria here, her and John are great friends of ours and it was an honour to be a part of their day. So, here is the story of our friends wedding, I hope I was able to do it justice.

"Hi Paul,  We received the photos yesterday and they are fantastic! Thank you so much, we loved looking back through them, you captured the day perfectly for us and I can't wait to show all our family and friends. They were just what we were after!! You made the whole thing so easy for us as we both hate being in front of the camera!  Thanks again, Jess and Nick" It's probably the most rewarding thing about my job, e-mail's like this one. The hours spent in front of the computer, the back ache after a long wedding day, it all just slips away when I know I've done a good job for great people like Jess and Nick. "You made the wh ...

My 2012
At the beginning of 2012 I wrote here about how I came to be photographing peoples wedding day. It was quite personal, I wanted it to be truthful and honest, I wanted the people who might ask me to be a part of their wedding to understand a little bit about what pushes me to do what I do. It seems like a lifetime ago now but still, when I read it back, it feels truthful to me.  As I was writing I was really only just starting along this path and I had absolutely no clue of what an amazing year it was going to be. When all is said and done it was the year I finally got the chance to do the thing I love to do. It would never have been possible ...

Whimsical Wonderland Weddings / Annabelle and Charlie
There's always something really quite nice about having one of the weddings you've photographed featured on a blog like Whimsical Wonderland Weddings, a kind of friendly pat on the back from within the wedding industry which you can't help but feel good about. It also makes my clients feel fantastic about their wedding day which is the most important thing to me by a long way. Here's what Annabelle and Charlie had to say about their photographer, me! (I always get a bit nervous reading these, kind of feels like reading your school report when you were a kid!) "Our wonderful photographer Paul was fantastic, and we are so pleased with the end ...
