Kelly and Nathan / Wedding Photography at the East Anglian Railway Museum

Kent Wedding Galleries

There are certain couples that fit together, that are just right for each other. You see them with one another, you watch how they are with each other and you just think to yourself, yep, these two should be together. That’s how it is when you are around Kelly and Nathan. I have been friends with Nathan since we were kids and when he first introduced us all to Kelly I think we all knew he had met the right girl for him.

Kelly, also known as Shooting Suzie , is a great photographer herself. She was the person who first gave me the chance to do this fantastic job when she let me shoot a few weddings with her what seems like a lifetime ago. So, when her and Nathan asked if I would photograph their wedding day I was both honoured and to be honest just a little nervous. I shouldn’t have been. Their wedding at the fantastic East Anglian Railway Museum was everything you would expect from these guys, cool, relaxed and fun with a touch of vintage flair thrown in.  There aren’t many weddings that finish with the bride and groom bouncing around the dance floor on space hoppers high fiving their friends and family, but with Kelly and Nathan it just feels right.

Beverley and Chris / Preview
I sometimes get asked about posing people, how I go about it, what poses do I like. The truth is, sometimes you just get lucky. I had asked Beverley and Chris to turn around and look out across the sea. I was pleased with the photo and was about to move on to the next shot, but at that moment Beverley just laid her head on Chris' shoulder. I didn't ask her to do it or pose them, it wasn't something I had planned, it was a real moment between two people, a husband and wife, and for me the photo just came alive. More from their beautiful wedding will be coming soon, you can also check out Whimsical Wonderlands Weddings who have produced a cool ...

Jade and Jamie / Kent Wedding Photography at Chilham Village Hall in Kent
Jade and Jamie's wedding at Chilham Village Hall in Kent was a real family affair. From Jamie's mum who sewed ten thousand metres of bunting (ok, that may be a slight exaggeration but it was definitely a lot!), his dad who hand painted the invites and table plan to Jade's dad and sister who played in the band in the evening, there was a real sense of family and friends coming together. I've also come to the realisation that pinata's should be compulsory at every wedding reception, in fact I'm not sure I want to shoot another wedding without a pinata from now on (note: not really, I will definitely shoot your wedding if you don't have a pinata ...

Ratsbury Barn Wedding / Andy and Chloe
"Take as many photo's as you like, the photos are important to Andy and Chloe, so they are important to us!" When I arrived at Ratsbury Barn to photograph the wedding of Andy and Chloe this was what the minister said to me, fantastic! So often when faith plays an important role in a wedding the photographer is banished to the back of the church or venue and told they can't take any photos. I understand this and always respect the wishes of the church but it always makes me a bit sad  for the couple that there will be no photos of the actual ceremony. Not this time though, it was great to be up front and pay witness to Andy and Chloe in front ...
